Conferences and Roundtables

CPAConnect and CPAmerica members across the country may come together several times a year at annual conferences and shorter themed roundtables to share knowledge, network with peers and listen to nationally acclaimed speakers – all while earning CPE credit.

Sharing is the key, and each conference features sessions in which members are able to openly discuss their approaches to client service and firm management in a noncompetitive atmosphere. These sessions are consistently rated as highly beneficial to members.

In addition to annual conferences, special roundtables focusing on niche industries or service areas are offered each year based on member requests.

Conferences and roundtables rotate around the country to some of the nation's most desirable destinations. In addition to the professional program, members enjoy CPAConnect-planned entertainment events. Many members form personal and professional bonds that last a lifetime.

Regular conferences include:

  • Combined Conference with A&A, marketing and technology tracks
  • Business Solutions Roundtable covering both the hard- and soft-side issues involved in dealing with closely held businesses
  • CPAConnect Practice Management Roundtable where the partners of all member firms – along with possible successors – meet to discuss such topics as practice management and the future of the profession
  • Tax Conference focusing on the latest legislation, regulations and other developments in the tax field

Daily Information Sharing

CPAConnect members are able to share information and obtain answers to their questions on a continuous basis through conference calls, e-mail discussion lists and priority requests.

Conference calls are scheduled on marketing and technology topics and hot topics of special interest. CPAConnect staff members or member experts facilitate the calls.

E-mail discussion lists give members immediate access to the expertise of other CPAs across the United States.

Priority requests are sent throughout the association on behalf of members needing advice or information from other firms.

Member Updates

CPAConnect programs and services expand so rapidly that sometimes it's difficult for member firms to keep up. To meet that challenge, CPAConnect developed a one-hour "Membership Opportunities Update" webcast to acquaint – and reacquaint – members with the vast resources available to them through their membership in CPAConnect. Members may request an update at any time or join regularly scheduled update webcasts.

The webcast includes a tutorial explaining how to access the information members need and how to make the best use of the members-only site, including the member Sharing Library and the member expertise database.

Sharing Library

The mission of CPAConnect is "Improving Through Sharing," and nowhere is it more apparent than in the online Sharing Library. Located on CPAConnect's members-only Web site, the Sharing Library includes hundreds of proposals, policy statements, engagement letters and other documents donated by affiliated firms for unlimited use by other members.
