Congratulations to CPAmerica Member Firms on their Recognition by INSIDE Public Accounting

Gainesville, Fla. – INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA), a highly regarded independent accounting publication, recently recognized CPAmerica International member firms Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP’s Steve Knebel and AKT LLP’s Steve Tatone as the 2016 Most Admired Peers.

Individuals represented in the 2016 Most Admired Peers received a significant share of responses to IPA Annual Survey and Analysis of Firms question, “Please name one peer in the profession that you admire.”

“The commitment that these two leaders have made to building great firms and to their growth is very impressive,” said Alan Deichler, president of CPAmerica. “Recognition from ones’ peers is always the highest honor.”

Steve Knebel began his public accounting career in Houston with Deloitte (formerly Deloitte Haskins& Sells) and transferred to Austin in 1987 shortly after the opening of the Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP’s (ML&R) Austin office. In 2007, he became ML&R’s Leading Partner, playing a key leadership role in the operations and strategic efforts of ML&R and its affiliate, ML&R Wealth Management. This is Knebel’s fourth time being recognized as a Most Admired Peer by INSIDE Public Accounting.

Steve Tatone began his accounting career in 1974 and served as President/CEO of AKT for more than 30 years. Under his leadership, the firm grew from a single office to a multi-state West Coast regional firm with deep industry expertise in several sectors. Tatone is the Chairman of the Board of AKT Group LLP, which manages AKT LLP CPAs and Business Consultants, AKT Wealth Advisors LP, AKT Benefit Advisors LP, and AKT Retirement Plan Services LP. This is Tatone’s third time being recognized as a Most Admired Peer by INSIDE Public Accounting.
