Mitchell Wiggins Announces Promotions and New Hires
RICHMOND - Mitchell Wiggins is pleased to announce the promotion of Lea Rasmussen, CPA to Partner, Melissa Sikes, CPA to Partner, Carman Faison, CPA to Senior Manager, Robert Saur, CPA to Senior Manager and Josh Morrison, CPA to Manager.

Lea Rasmussen, CPA has been promoted to Partner. Lea has over 16 years of professional experience. Lea has aided many nonprofit clients with improving the process of tracking gifts and helping them understand the financial reporting aspect of such transactions. Lea’s proactive planning throughout the year helps reduce clients' tax liabilities and identify possible areas of improvement for business owners.
In addition to her commitment to the firm, Lea is currently a member of the J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College Educational Foundation, Finance and Investment Committee and serves as the Treasurer of the Richmond Public Library Foundation. She graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Melissa Sikes, CPA has been promoted to Partner. Melissa has over 17 years of professional experience. Melissa brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in many industries including healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit and financial institutions to the firm.
In addition to her commitment to the firm, Melissa is currently a member of the UMFS Board of Directors, Virginia Manufacturers Association Tax Committee and ChamberRVA Impact Award Committee. She graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
Carman Faison, CPA has been promoted to Senior Manager. Carman joined Mitchell Wiggins in 2005 after working in the commercial finance arena. She specializes in working with closely held businesses, auto dealerships, financial institutions and nonprofits. She graduated with honors from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting.
Robert Saur, CPA has been promoted to Senior Manager. Rob has been with Mitchell Wiggins since 2007. Rob’s knowledge of historic tax credits and in-depth tax experience allows him to serve clients of varying sizes and organizational configurations. He graduated from LeMoyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Josh Morrison, CPA has been promoted to Manager. Josh joined the firm in 2011 as a Staff Accountant and was promoted to Supervisor in 2015. The majority of his time is spent performing accounting, auditing, and taxation services for businesses and individuals. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Accounting and Information Systems.

Tyler Bennett has joined the firm as a Staff Accountant. He graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting.
Kelly McGinnis has joined the firm as a Staff Accountant. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems.
