Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A.’s Danielle Bagdzinski Nominated for International ATHENA® Young Professional Leadership Award

Toms River, NJ, October 10, 2018 – Danielle Bagdzinski, marketing manager at leading accounting and profitability consulting firm, Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A. has been nominated by the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce for the prestigious ATHENA®  Young Professional Leadership Award.

The international ATHENA® Award Program celebrates women as valued members and leaders of the community, and recognizes those who support them. The ATHENA® Award honors an individual for business or professional accomplishments, community service as well as mentoring others and being a role model to encourage women to achieve their full leadership potential. The Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce is presenting the ATHENA® Young Professional Leadership Award to recognize emerging leaders in our community. Danielle joins six additional nominees in this category, as well as nine nominees in the ATHENA® Leadership category.

Danielle is a board member of the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce (also a member of the chamber’s Young Professionals Group, Membership & Marketing Committee and Golf Committee). She was also a candidate in the New Jersey Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2018 Man & Woman of the Year Campaign where she raised almost $40,000 for LLS to continue its mission to find a cure for blood cancer. Additionally, she is a member of the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council (also a member of Monmouth Ocean Development Council Marketing Committee), Shore Builders Association of Central NJ, New Jersey Builders Association, Professional Women in Building of the Garden State and the United Way of Monmouth & Ocean Counties’ Hearts of Gold Gala 2016 & 2018 committee. Danielle was also a member of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s 2017 Golf Classic committee, as well as the 2017 Dancing with our Monmouth & Ocean County Stars committee.

Danielle received the 2017 Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore Phenomenal Women Under 40 Award; the 2015 Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council President’s Award for implementing the first-ever company wellness program; the 2014 Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore ‘Above & Beyond’ Award for efforts following Superstorm Sandy; and the 2013 President’s Award from the Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association in the Digital/Interactive Media category.

Danielle graduated with distinction in 2007 from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, earning a master of arts in Strategic Communication. She also received a bachelor of arts in English with a minor in the Sociology of Law, Criminology & Deviance from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN in 2005.
