DMJ Adds New Consultant to Transportation and Logistics Services Division
GREENSBORO, NC – DMJ & Co., PLLC, a certified public accounting and business consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Steven Gaffney, CPA, CFE, CFF, CRFAC, has joined the firm as a consultant to lead DMJ’s Transportation and Logistics Services division, where he will provide specialized consulting and accounting services to the industry. As an accounting and business professional, Steve has more than 25 years of experience in operating, managing, guiding accounting, finance, safety and customer relationships in the transportation industry. Previously serving in the roles of chief financial officer, president, and owner of North Carolina based transportation companies, he also has significant experience with operating, compliance, recruiting, growth organically and through acquisitions, financing structures and needs, operation and customer relations, financial forecasting, and management reporting.
DMJ’s Transportation and Logistics Division is a specialized consulting service effectively serving the unique needs of transportation leaders who seek to reach their maximum potential. Consulting engagements provide operational efficiencies; safety and recruiting; review, tax, and depreciation planning, multi-state tax compliance; merger and acquisition reviews; business valuation; and succession planning, among other services. Steve earned a BS in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. He is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and also holds the credentials as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Accountant (CRFAC), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He is a member of the NCACPA, AICPA, ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners), and ABFA (American Board of Forensic Accounting). He is a former member for the Piedmont Triad Partnership Roundtable for Logistics & Distribution and also previously served as treasurer, president, and vice president of the Piedmont Triad Transportation Association.
