DMJ Names Susan Miller, CPA Partner

DURHAM, NC - DMJ & Co., PLLC (DMJ), a Top 300 North Carolina CPA and accounting firm, is pleased to announce that Susan Miller, CPA will become a partner with DMJ & Co., PLLC effective July 1, 2018. Susan will also serve as the partner-in-charge of our Durham, NC office.

Susan has worked in DMJ’s Durham office since 2005. She has spent her entire career in public accounting, spanning more than 25 years. Susan specializes in individual and corporate tax, as well as business consulting through tax consulting and compliance engagements. Susan works directly with a variety of clients in the service, medical, retail, and construction industries. She earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in Mathematics and attended North Carolina State University to become eligible for CPA certification, which she earned in 1999.

A resident of Durham and Hillsborough for more than 20 years, Susan is an active member in her community, currently serving as a member of the Downtown Durham Rotary Club and treasurer for Rotary District 7710. She has previously served as treasurer on the Board of Directors for A Helping Hand and has served on the Board of the Central NC Chapter of the Red Cross. Most recently, Susan graduated from Leadership North Carolina Class XXV, an exclusive program where selected members come together from across the state to inform, develop, and engage committed future leaders.

Phil Hutchings, CPA will continue his work with DMJ’s Durham office for the foreseeable future; however, he is looking forward to transitioning to a reduced workload and the ability to spend more time with his family.
