Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth Announces Three New Partners
Traverse City, MI, February 2022 – Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth (DGN), northern Michigan’s largest locally owned, full-service public accounting firm, has announced the selection of three new partners. These partners have been promoted from within the firm and were selected based on the invaluable expertise they have delivered for clients and businesses during their tenure.

Dennis, Gartland and Niergarth’s newest partners are:
Elizabeth A. Hedden, CPA joined Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth in 1997. Liz brings significant expertise in oil and gas accounting with more than 20 years of experience in the industry in addition to other industries. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Michigan Association of CPAs, Michigan Oil & Gas Association and the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society (COPAS) of Michigan, where she is currently serving on the COPAS Board of Directors as Treasurer. Liz earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Ferris State University and continuing professional education in taxation and tax planning as it impacts the oil and gas industry.
Aaron J. Mansfield, CPA, CFE joined Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth in 1999. Aaron has significant experience in auditing for a wide variety of organizations, including employee benefit plans, manufacturing, nonprofits, oil and gas and school districts. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Michigan Association of CPAs and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Aaron earned a Bachelor of Arts with emphasis in Accounting from Alma College, designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and Global Finance Certification from the VanAndel Center at Grand Valley State University. He serves on the MICPA Automobile Dealers Expert Panel and is a graduate of Leadership Grand Traverse.
Jonathan P. Benjamin, CPA joined Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth in 2014. Jonathan provides a variety of services in the tax and audit departments, with an emphasis in planning and tax services for business and individual clients. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from Central Michigan University, and is currently completing a Master’s of Science in Taxation from Grand Valley State University. Jonathan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
