Ernie Gelpi

Ernie Gelpi, MP of IPA 400 firm Kushner LaGraize LLC of Metairie, La., passed away on Feb. 7 at the age of 64.

Gelpi started his career in public accounting in 1980 and joined Kushner LaGraize in 1986, serving as MP for the past 14 years. In addition, he was completing his term on the board of directors of CPAmerica this year, having served as chair last year and a board member for several years prior.

“Ernie’s spirit will continue to guide the KL team during this difficult time and his legacy will live on in our hearts and in the halls he graciously walked,” notes a statement from the firm.
