Williams & Company P.C. Announces New Shareholders
Williams & Company P.C. is pleased to announce the advancement of Ebony Rahe, CPA, as Managing Shareholder and Dan Semmler, CPA as Shareholder in their full-service certified public accounting firm, made effective January 1, 2020. Prior Managing Partner, Dave Radke, will step out of the role but continue as In-Charge Shareholder of the Onawa, IA office.
Ebony joined the firm in the Spencer office in January 2002. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Finance and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2004.She has extensive experience in auditing, business consulting, tax planning and preparation, as well as assisting startups, established businesses, farmers, and individuals.
“It felt like the time was right for me to step down and let new ideas help shape the direction of the firm.” said Dave Radke, Managing Partner for 14 years prior. “This will give me time to continue to assist with the firm transition and help build our nursing home specialization.” Williams & Company has tripled in size since Dave first took on the position as managing shareholder. Per Dave, “I had a lot of help from my fellow Shareholders in moving our firm forward.”
Ebony is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ebony is active in the local Iowa Lakes region. She currently serves as Treasurer for the Spencer Main Street. She also spends time volunteering with the various youth sports organizations and is an active member of the Lake Park United Methodist Church. Ebony resides in Lake Park, Iowa with her husband, Jared and their three children, Sydney, Beckett and Maddox.
Dan Semmler joined Williams & Company in the Yankton, SD office as a full-time staff accountant in December 2011. Dan graduated from The University of South Dakota with both a Bachelor of Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy in December 2011 and became a Certified Public Accountant in December of 2016. He continued to advance within the firm and was promoted to manager in 2017. He has extensive experience in income tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses, audit and accounting services, preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements, agricultural consulting and taxation, and consulting and taxation in the hospitality industry.
Dan is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the South Dakota CPA Society. Dan is active in his community as Treasurer of Trinity Lutheran Church, past President and treasurer of Yankton Sertoma Club, Yankton Area Foundation board of directors, and Chairman of the Hillcrest Pro-Am committee.
