Mitchell Wiggins Welcomes New Tax Director


RICHMOND – John C. (Dean) Williams, CPA has joined the tax team at Mitchell Wiggins, a provider of full-service accounting to nonprofit organizations and closely held businesses in a variety of industries.

As the Tax Director, Dean is responsible for providing firm-wide leadership of the tax department including tax strategy, business and tax planning, tax audits and tax accounting.  Dean specializes in business tax needs, estate, trust and gift tax returns, in addition to individual income tax returns.

Prior to joining Mitchell Wiggins, Dean was a Tax Manager for Heritage Wealth Advisors. Throughout his career, Dean has provided comprehensive tax and wealth management planning for high net worth individuals and families.

Dean earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington & Lee University.  Dean holds a Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Virginia.  He is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
